PROFILE

Ángel Gásperi is a Creative Director and Industrial Designer working at the intersection of art, design, and public space. His practice focuses on cultural projects, exhibitions, urban activation, and visual systems that connect identity, narrative, and spatial experience.

With more than twenty years of professional experience, he has developed projects for cultural institutions, international brands, and urban initiatives, combining conceptual thinking, visual strategy, and spatial design.

His work explores how design, culture, and the city interact, creating projects that foster public engagement, cultural exchange, and meaningful urban experiences.

Design of exhibition graphics, wayfinding systems, invitations and printed materials for cultural institutions and art spaces. Focused on clarity, coherence and contextual relevance.

ART & FASHION – Urban Cultural Activation 10th Edition. Madrid, Spain.

On December 19, 2015, the historic Barrio de Las Letras became a dynamic urban stage where art and fashion converged in public space.

This large-scale cultural activation reinforced the concept of free and accessible art for everyone, activating the local economy and strengthening community engagement.

Panama City 2018

City-scale urban activation initiative designed to promote walkability, public life, and cultural participation in Panama City. Through temporary spatial interventions, artistic programming, and community-driven experiences, the project transformed public space into an open platform for creativity, social interaction, and urban culture.

Urban Activation – 5 de Mayo District Panama City, 2018

A collaborative initiative led by IDB, the Municipality of Panama, Ciudad Emergente, Vía Plural, and Gehl Architects to develop a sustainable vision for one of the city’s most complex and highly transited areas.

Focused on walkability, public space, and people-centered urban transformation.

Axioma de Constructibilidad
Felipe Pantone MarionGallery, Panama, 2019

Exhibition Graphics · Visual Development · Production Support

The show explored movement, perception, color, and digital-era aesthetics through immersive geometric compositions and optical vibration.

A visual recap of Axioma de Constructibilidad, an exhibition by contemporary artist Felipe Pantone presented in Panama.

The project showcased Pantone’s signature kinetic language, blending light, speed, chromatic gradients, and digital culture into a spatial experience.

El Color Haciéndose 
Carlos Cruz-Diez, Panama 2019

Contributed to the graphic and exhibition development of a major cultural production dedicated to one of the most influential masters of kinetic and optical art, helping shape the spatial experience and visual narrative of the installation. Served as the designer of the exhibition’s official poster and key visual identity.

This video presents a walkthrough of the Cruz-Diez art exhibition titled El Color Haciéndose.

Participation as part of the Articruz workshop team, providing technical support and installation assistance during project-related exhibition processes connected to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH).

Role focused on technical execution, assembly coordination and on-site support within an institutional exhibition framework.

Development of visual and graphic elements supporting the exhibition project

Large-scale temporary art activation developed at Multiplaza Mall in collaboration with KROMYA Art & Design Store, featuring a live ephemeral installation by Panamanian artist Emmanuel Moses.

Contributed to the conceptual development, spatial activation strategy, and production coordination of a 100-square-meter intervention that transformed a commercial environment into a participatory cultural platform. The project integrated contemporary art into a retail context, fostering real-time audience engagement and reinforcing the role of art as a catalyst for urban and social interaction.

Group Exhibition — Panamá, 2019

Development of visual and graphic elements supporting the exhibition project

Visual and graphic development for The Art Behind the Art, a group exhibition celebrating the 10th anniversary of Articruz, the contemporary art production workshop founded as the Panama studio of master kinetic artist Carlos Cruz-Diez.

The work included the development of exhibition graphics and visual communication materials within the gallery environment, contributing to the conceptual framing of the exhibition’s theme and title, and designing the exhibition’s main visual identity and key graphic elements.

Exhibition walkthrough of The Art Behind the Art, a group show celebrating the 10th anniversary of Articruz in Panama. The exhibition presented works produced at the workshop alongside insights into the artistic processes behind them.

Design of stage atmosphere integrating lighting, spatial composition and visual identity for live performance.

“Robando Fuego,” the artist’s latest work, emerges as a powerful artistic statement recorded live in New York City under the production of acclaimed producer Héctor Castillo, known for his collaborations with David Bowie, Björk, and Gustavo Cerati. The piece captures an honest, intimate, and visceral creative process where identity, time, and the impulse to create intertwine.
